The Centre is launching its first occasional paper of student work on the 22nd of April.

6 -7 pm, YMCA George Williams College, 199 Freemasons Rd, London, E16 3PY

Titles of contributions to the paper include:

  • ‘New Labour and the politics of antisocial behaviour’: A Review of Educational Research from an Ethical Perspective                     

  • What is socially useful?

  • Is Community Education a myth?                                          

  • Mindful Practices: Buddhism and Supervision                                              

  • Learning Opportunity? The ‘joy’ of the professional journal          

  • A Journey (A student traces his development as an informal educator)

The event will be opened by Cllr. Clive Furness, a youth worker, barrister and former student of the College. He will speak about the importance of practitioners continuing to write and inform practice. This will be followed by workshops from a number of the authors on their pieces.
